Greetings Prospective Vendors for CKMC 2025!

CHRISTkindlmarkt Charleston is excited to announce our 6th annual CHRISTmas Markt! We are committed to producing an event that is sought after and looked forward to year after during the Advent and Christmas season, and we hope you’ll be a part of our tradition.

We welcome and appreciate your application to participate as a vendor in partnership with CHRISTkindlmarkt Charleston 2025 and its purposes. CKMC is a juried event accepting vendors based on quality, variety, handcrafted, artisan, and/or Christmas-themed products.

We do appreciate our vendors and the value that each brings to make the markt experience unique and successful for both the vendors and the attendees. We would not have a markt without our vendors so know the CKMC team is grateful for your interest and applying!

What 

A German-inspired, centuries-old tradition, CHRISTkindlmarkt CHS is a festive outdoor experience. This unique markt offers holiday shoppers unique handcrafts, food, music, German beer, Gluhwein, and more! Also, CKMC is a retail opportunity for area vendors and small businesses to sell their wares. Lastly, we are creating an experience to gather and celebrate the Advent and CHRISTmas season and all it means.

Cost 

A non-refundable vendor participation fee will be due within 20 days of acceptance of application, along with a signed vendor agreement, and a PDF copy (no screenshots) of a Charleston COUNTY (not state or city) business license. These 3 items secure your selection for 2025 when received before or by the firm deadline of August 28, 2025.

Food Vendor Fee for two weekends:

  • Tent or food truck: $750

Product Vendor Fee for two weekends:

  • Wood Hut: $600

  • Free Standing Tent (10x10): $475

  • Community Tent (8x8 space): $385

  • Kinder Vendor: $70

  • Premium Glasshouse: $2,000

Markt Details & FAQs

  • A commitment to be present at all markts is required to submit an application.

  • Initial unloading and setup will be according to a sign-up sheet. Please plan to cart your goods 100 yards to the vendor area. **Set up is on Wednesday or Thursday (12/3 and 12/4) from 9 am to 5 pm.

  • All vendors will park at the remote lot during the markt. Transportation is provided for 30 minutes beginning 1 hour before the markt opens. This allows time to be on site and sale ready before transportation opens to ticket holders. There is a break between the afternoon and evening markts for vendors to eat, reset, and shop each other’s merchandise. The purpose of this break is to allow for the turnover and exit of the DAY markt ticket holders and entry of the NIGHT markt attendees. However, all vendors should remain on site due to parking logistics.

  • Vendors selecting a tent space will be provided a covered tented space, an 8ft table, an 8ft tablecloth, and lighting. The vendor can provide an additional table and chair with prior approval, depending on the space. If a corner space (walk-in stall) set up is needed, this request must accompany your application and is not guaranteed. No power is available at the stalls. 

  • Kinder Vendors are age 18 or under to promote young entrepreneurs limited to 5 total vendors. This is for a 6 foot table space.

  • 6 wooden markt huts are premium stalls that are free-standing, in a prime location, and can be secured with a vendor-provided padlock.

  • Glasshouse is an indoor space with power and locks for security. Products must be 80% Christmas decor or gifts.

  • Markt is held rain or shine. 

  • This is a ticketed event. Entrance will be given complimentary to you and one other person to man your stall which should be staffed at all times until markt closing, except during markt turnover break. 

  • Vendors can leave their stall set up between weekends, however, CKMC is NOT responsible or liable for items left on site. However, it is a private venue with someone present at all times.

  • Once notified of vendor selection for CKMC 2025, THREE returned items are due by 8/28 to finalize and secure your spot 1) signed vendor agreement 2) vendor fee 3) copy of Charleston COUNTY business license. ***A non-returned complete packet by August 28th will forfeit the vendor’s selection, and an alternate will be given this slot. No exceptions. We advise obtaining your Charleston COUNTY (not city) business license as soon as selected to participate.***
